Foundation:

In 2001, Stephen Cothran, President, founded SC Drywall as a small

residential drywall service that specialized in repairs and additions. It

did not take long for SC Drywall to quickly become known as one of

the leading residential drywall installers in the local region.

Focus & Expansion:

By 2005, Stephen had focused his concentration on the custom

home market. His primary focus was the communities of Lake Keowee

and Lake Hartwell. In 2008, SC Drywall decided to make the move

into the commercial drywall field. What began as a labor only contractor

that completed projects for most larger drywall companies, SC Drywall

would eventually be providing turn-key services. These services include

metal stud framing, insulation, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings

and FRP for our region.

Excellence:

SC Drywall’s biggest residential achievement came in 2017.

Stephen was selected as the drywall contractor for Clemson

Head Football Coach, Dabo Swinney. With the size of the project

and grueling schedule, SC Drywall was the obvious choice for the job.

Present & Future:

SC Drywall is leading the way as one of the only contractors to

provide both residential and commercial drywall services.

Also, SC Drywall uses our own employees to complete projects,

not sub-contractors.  This is just one of the ways that we are setting

ourselves apart from the competition. From residential projects,

commercial upfits, heavy commercial, industrial, learning institutions,

houses of worship and the food industry, SC Drywall is fully staffed,

prepared, and willing to be your partner in production. We are ready

to assist our customers from the design phase to project completion!
